Welcome to our accessibility page where we guide you around our shop and café.

We are champions and advocates for accessibility – in our old unit everything was on the ground floor and easily accessible. Since moving we have a ground and first floor. It was very difficult to find a unit large enough where everything was on the ground floor. We apologise that we have part of the shop inaccessible for some – long term goal is to fund for a lift to increase our access!

Please do give us feedback on where we can improve – we truly believe businesses should strive to be as accessible as possible.

If you need help whilst you’re visiting us – whether that is to help you shop, if you have questions and more…. – please do not hesitate to ask.

Video walkthrough coming soon…!

A brief overview of the shop

Toilets: we have an accessible toilet on ground level for everyone. It also has a baby changing unit in it, but is wide enough to manouvre around.
Entering the shop: there is a slight ridge upon entering, yet almost unnoticeable. It is wide enough to fit wheelchairs, but if isn’t wide enough we can open the second door (it is a double door entrance). As you enter, there is an aisle down the left side with the majority of our food range. In front of you is our seasonal shelf which changes every few months. As you bear a slight right you go past our fridges, towards our till area and to the back of the shop (the toilet is past the till). If you turn right upon entering, you enter our downstairs café.
Downstairs café: We have three sets of tables downstairs as well as a bar table with stools. This is our downstairs area where those with dogs are able to sit and have a coffee with them. The tables can be moved around to create more space if needed, so not hesitate to ask.
Moving around the shop: we have made every effort to make the whole of ground floor wide enough to manouvre around. There are dispensers and jars that are higher up, which of course we will help you with.
Downstairs shop layout: food on refill is on the left, with kitchen and household at the back. Bathroom and beauty is behind the stairs, with gift boxes under the stairs. By the toilet, we have various gift ideas, wrapping paper and socks! Front right is our café and deli area – here we have coffee and tea on refill as well as drinking acccessories and jars and tins. And, of course, our ever-famous pup wall!
Upstairs shop layout: as you go up the stairs, on the left we have clothing and kitenge (our Ugandan range). Straight ahead we have stationery and plant pots – this includes wrapping paper, paper tape and pens and pencils. Then we have books along one edge, with baby products along the other (nappies, toys, sippy cups, bowls etc.). In the middle of the floor is our seating area for the rest of the café. At the far right upstairs is our working desk area, where customers come and settle in for the day to ‘work from home’.
